This is a complete narrative sequence, four paintings meant to be held together as a single unfolding vision. I drew from a poem I wrote about my own childhood, embedding fragments of the original text within the layers of paint. You can see the words surfacing and receding, a palimpsest of memory written over but never erased.

The bird moves across the panels in flight, tracing a journey from childhood into adulthood. It is the sudden clarity of finding yourself inside a world you once only dreamed of. A threshold crossed.
